Valencia Basket closes the Euroleague with loss in Barcelona (85-71)
Valencia Basket ended
their participation in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with a defeat by 85-71
against FC Barcelona in a game in which the three-pointers and superior
rebounding of the locals did not allow Mumbrú's men to recover in a game in
which they were behind from the beginning. The Taronja team found enough accuracy
in the first half thanks to Harper and Jones to hold on to the game despite
Mirotic's display in the first quarter and Abrines' five three-pointers in the
second. And defensive aggressiveness at the beginning of the last one to
concede only two points in the first six minutes of that fourth act, not
letting go despite coming to see themselves thirteen down in the third. But the
final accuracy of the important men of FC Barcelona did not allow the comeback.
